Provigil

I will ask that you forgive the long paragraph below, but I wanted to explain what I have done before deciding to try out the Provigil.

I have used my Cpap for around 8 months and logged about 1500 hours. I had to increase my pressure with my wifes input from 9 to 11. I was still snoring at times at the setting of 9. I do what I can to control air leaks and try to keep my equipment clean. I usually sleep around 7-8 hours. I was still experiencing periods of drowsiness during the day. I toughed it out for the first six months because I had read here that you needed to at least reach the 1000 hour mark to really notice (which seemed to average people six months). I still would have good and bad weeks or even days. I even had a coworker start shouting at me after I had dozed off! His response was that he was tired of me falling asleep and I should just got home if I was going to sleep. Not that he is really a compassionate person to begin with. I have been keeping my boss informed on my progress and he knew I am working on trying to feel better. I am still very productive even though I am tired so that is in my favor. Also and more importantly my wife has told me that I am now back to being the man she marred 5 years ago. so the Cpap is working for me to a point. Since my machine is only a Plus model I cannot get useful data out of it. That is why I had to use a trial and error method and the helpful input of my wife. I finally was tired (pardon the pun) of being tired even when I got a decent hours sleep and was still dozing off on the couch. I also figured that my taking caffeine pills to combat it were probably doing me more harm then good. I only intend to use the Provigil on an as needed basis, so that I can function at work and enjoy time with my family.

I had my first dose of it this morning. I split the 200MG pill and only took a 100mg dose and it lasted me through the day. I will see how I do next week. I also have another coworker who has already been using it and has had good results. Although he has Apnea and narcolepsy. He did let me know about Provigil in the first place.
