ResMed AirFit F20
I “graduated” from BiPAP to IVAPS after my third sleep study. My machine is not listed as a choice: ResMed AirCurve 10 ST-A with humidifier and FFM

That is actually a fine mask, but light velcro is intended to be used only for adjustment.
That velcro is not meant for putting on and off daily.
Some masks have clips for daily use, because velcro is not durable enough.
But, Re$med . . .

It has magnetized clips, but I generally find I can't use the same setting all night. I start off with one level of tension, then have to increase it as the mask gets moisturized throughout the night. But I don't use the velcro to put it on or remove it.

ETA: It's not really that the velcro comes loose while I'm using it (as long as I'm very careful to perfectly center it). It's more, as noted in the OP, that it comes apart when the mask is off, leading to the magnetized clasps falling off and then necessitating a search in the bedding or under the bed or bedside table. I still don't understand why they use "light velcro" anyway. Why not use the stronger kind you find on kids' shoes?

If you prefer, you are welcome to sew the stronger velcro on for yourself.

And if someone doesn't sew....they make peel and stick velcro as well.

Years ago I would use it on my ResMed nasal pillow masks on the back headgear strap when that velcro lost it's stickability.

Remember mask manufacturers want us to buy a new product instead of making products last longer....that's how they make more money.
It's planned....

It's a good point, although this is always a fine line to walk, as if they make consumers too dissatisfied with their products they may switch to a competitor.

Hand sewing is not rocket science.
I have always considered hand sewing a basic skill, like flossing your teeth or making a bed.
