EPR messing up

Post by chainsaw161 » Fri Dec 04, 2020 10:58 am

Last night my Air sense 10 auto started making noise on my exhale. I contacted the place that sold me the machine, it still has about 8 months warranty. They said turn the EPR off. will this affect my sleep? Anybody know?

Welcome!

Possible effects on your sleep:

* discomfort from breathing out against higher pressure, with disruption of your sleep,

* increase in flow limitations and hypopneas.

In other words, the right response to the place that sold you the machine is that you are not changing your settings to accommodate a malfunction and you are requesting a new machine to replace the defective one.

However, before you shift into high gear with them, you might want to check whether your filter needs replacing (is it dingy-looking?) and whether your humidifier seal looks OK (e.g. is that little gasket twisted or damaged?).

On December 4 2020 I was told by CPAP outlet that they would warranty my Airsense 10. I have not yet received the replacement and they do not resound to my emails. I have been on the chatline with them but keep getting stalled with more excuses than a pregnant nun.

This kind of stuff is so irritating! Bug them every day if needed. Good luck with it.
