CPAP making odd intermittent noise

Post by jagzoo » Mon Jan 18, 2021 9:19 am

My ResMed Autosense for Her has started making an intermittent “moo like” sound. Happens a couple of times an hour. It happens as long as it is plugged in - even when I’m not using it. I’ve unplugged and replugged it. I’ve changed the water tank to a new one. Also changed the filter.
I think the machine is about 4 yrs old. I’m not sure when I got this one. Just checked and it has 17200 hrs on it! Guess its just too old?

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

similar for me, except i've used a noise machine and didn't notice it at first.

i've sent it off to acbio for repair. once i find out the particulars, i'll post about it.

i'm by no means saying it's a common occurrence, but forum members have reported it.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

First time I have heard of mooing and definitely the first time someone is saying the machine is making noises when not in use but just in stand by (plugged in an ready to go).

If you don't have a spare....get one.

I have no idea what it might be but it doesn't sound promising. No machine should be making ANY noise when in stand by.
