Hi all,
I have been on CPAP several years. Despite AHI < 1, I still often wake up sweating during the night (sometimes the sheets are so wet I have to move to a different spot on the bed). Other times I wake up gagging. I often start the day feeling tired.
I would really love any suggestions on how to improve my sleep.
I have been trying to increase my floor pressure to see if that helps, and it doesn't seem to yet. Also, some days I wake up in pain from air in my stomach so I'm hesitant to go too high.
Any help much appreciated.

Could it be you aren't exhaling completely?
For the nite sweats I would rule out onset of diabetes.

Can you provide some details on your sleeping environment?
I live in a cold weather climate, and myself and bed partner prefer to sleep in the bedroom with a temp range of 60-65 deg F. Initially it is cold getting in bed so we place one or two light blankest over the quilt. As one's body temperature changes during the sleep cycle, the bed covering may be too heavy and this can lead to sweating.
My wife gets cold and hot throughout the night (she is postmenopausal) due to the blanket situation and it often causes her to wake up (I am on CPAP, she is not).
It is like a Goldilocks situation, in which the bedcovering has to be just right to achieve a good night's sleep.

I keep the bedroom cool, no heater at night. I have one blanket initially and have a second I can pull up if it gets cold.
I don't think this is the problem though. The issue would have to coincide with my breathing difficulties in the zoomed in graph.

Same boat.
Suggestion: Get your WBC CBC differential done by your primary care physician or hematologist. If that doesn’t yield anything try an endocrinologist to look at PTH and related parathyroid and thyroid levels.
