Did you have to lower pressure when you started using Bleep

Post by Jeanne Ellen » Sun Jan 03, 2021 12:49 pm

I’ve been having trouble getting used to my Bleep. It seems to send more air down my airway than the medium size P10 pillows. I’ve been waking up with a sore throat about an hour or two after I go to sleep, so then I have to take it off and go back to my old mask. I use a chin strap and tape my mouth so I’m not mouth breathing. I normally set my machine to straight cpap at 11, which has worked pretty well with the P10’s but it seems too strong with the Bleep. I’ve tried lowering cpap from 11 down to 9, adding flex, increasing the humidity setting, and changing to auto settings at a range between 8-14. The only success I’ve had was to take 3mg of melatonin on the auto setting of 8-14, but I found that the melatonin upset stomach and lower doses don’t keep me asleep. Has anyone else had to adjust their pressures after switching to Bleep? I finally mastered hooking it up—now I’d like to make it work.

I had to lower mine from 8 to 6 with the bleep.I am on outo 5 to 7 with 2 exhale relief now and it is working out well. It took me a while to learn how to hook it up too.
Use as much humidity as you can without rainout.

Never adjusted my pressures when I went to bleep mask. How is your leak rate?

My leak rate with the Bleep last night was zero. After I changed to my P10 mask, it stayed between 2-4 the rest of the night. Here's a screen shot.
