Self titrating ASV? Respironics PR System One BiPAP AutoSV Advanced

Post by 19MaleMabyeUARS? » Sun Jan 03, 2021 1:25 pm

I already have the clinical manual and Philips AutoSV machine. I am self-titrating due to possible UARs ( high RDI according to watchpat study+bad sleep anecdotally.)
Do you guys know any good threads that go over the risks/methods of self-treating & titrating with an ASV?

No special threads for ASV and UARS. Sorry.

I do have one document for ASV titration but it's for obstructive apneas or central apneas and I don't know how much it might help you or not.

You can't really hurt yourself with the ASV as long as you don't try to use a really high minimum PS setting all night long. Too much PS like that could maybe cause central apneas.

I wouldn't suggest using more than 5 cm PS minimum. The maximum setting isn't as critical for PS but I think maybe 8 max PS. The machine won't give you more unless it thinks you need it for some reason or not.
I like PS of 4....it's what most sleep labs will start you out at anyway....so minimum PS of 4 or 5.
