Post by springman946 » Thu Dec 31, 2020 3:41 pm

I have a question every year when I go see me bi-pap DR dr I have to send J&L medical my data card from my machine why can't they just go online and retrieve the data that way. so I don't have to do anything. I have a backup sd card

Most sleep doctors do not prescribe a certain brand of machine. So they would have to have software for all the different brands. While there aren't that many, each of these systems is expensive. And it takes staff time to do this, which also costs them money.

Be sure you make a copy of your data--I think you can transfer it to another SD card and send them that.

When I switched doctor and DME, they could not read data from my Fisher & Paykel Icon+. I brought my laptop and showed the doctor Oscar. He said the DME should be able to get the software. They said they tried, but I don't think they were interested.
