ResMed Air Mini questions

Post by cnl390 » Thu Dec 10, 2020 9:41 am

I don't use my Air Mini that much (only on overnight trips) but when I do I find it fairly hard to get to sleep because it really blows. Should I increase ramp time, turn on EPR, etc.?
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Ensure the settings are the same as your AirSense 10.

Having said that, the problem may not be a difference in settings. The problem might be trouble sleeping, when we have trouble sleeping we often become aware of distractions that may not necessarily be the cause of our not sleeping.

Some of these distractions may be:
  • Different mask
  • Air Mini noise
  • Different (less comfortable) sleep environment
Setting your ramp might help.

As dog slobber said any different settings can cause a "difference" Also the humidity levels can be totally different. With my work related asthma I need lots of humidity and can tell immediately if there is not enough , with the air mini and their pucks it takes time for the humidity to build up. You may need to get the plus cartridges, have a plate of water next to the inlet, pre moisten the cartridge. Look up air mini humidity.
