Mirage Quattro pro cushion still good?

Post by MyIdaho1 » Wed Nov 18, 2020 10:48 pm

Long time cpap user (10+years), Mirage Quattro pro from the start at 17 cm. It's time to purchase a replacement cushion, ordinarily, it would be easy to pull the trigger, but lately review comments suggest that the quality has changed... Some reviewers say mask walls are thinner than the original version and leaks are more of a problem. Is this a common observation? Others suggest more problems with leaks with Airsense 10 and mirage quattro pro, is this true? I have both Airsense 10 and mirage quattro.

My leaks have suddenly been sky high 30 to 50% of time in high leak! Very surprising though as I don't hear the usual leak sounds of poor fitting mask. Looking at Oscar, the leaks are very episodic, not relatively consistent similar to leaky hose or leaky oxygen plug holes... What do you think, buy a new hose and cushion? Don't have a backup Airsense hose and the cushion is 6 months old... Probably a no brainer yes! :-)

Thanks for any help/assistance!

I used the Mirage Quattro for about 8 years. I never had a problem with the cushion.....In fact...I boiled my cushions periodically and they came out like new. I would suggest having a back up if you try this in case something bad happens. A couple years ago I switched to the F&P Simplus, but I still have the Quattro as my back up mask.
