Dreamstation & DreamMapper

Post by Grumpy48 » Tue Nov 03, 2020 2:31 pm

I use the DreamMapper software as a quick daily check most everyday to get basic numbers and OSCAR maybe every couple of weeks to grab a detailed overview. With the DreamMapper the data is posted usually a couple hours after I get up in the morning, but then occasionally it gets off track and may not have data for a day or two. Is there any rhyme or reason as to when the Dreamstation cell modem calls home to dump data and if it doesn't get through does it retry at some interval. I'm assuming the DreamMapper host doesn't call into my Dreamstation's cell modem to pull the data(?)

More likely it is the DreamMapper website that is responsible for the tardy reports.
I have never seen any documentation as to when the DreamStation actually calls home though. I have seen reports often of the website being slow to report data and sometimes a several day lag. That's the website most likely unless someone just happens to be in an area with really limited cellular service for some reason.

DreamMapper quit working for me totally several days before November 1. Then miraculously on November 1 it started working again with all missing days info. I think there was an update to the DreamMapper web site during this period. I have seen this happen previously. It would be nice however if they would notify us someone that they were going to be offline for a few days. I like to look at DreamMapper every morning to just for a quick look of what just happened. I do use Oscar occasionally for much more detailed info.

Yup, exactly same here, no data for a couple days prior to Nov 1. When it started to have the data it was in bits and pieces. Saturday had a couple hours usage, but none for the day before, Friday. It's all there now. I had thought it may be due to the daylight savings time change adjustment in their system(?)
