Yes, my cpap does have a humidifier, but didn’t turn it up as we’ve been having high humidity readings where we live the whole month of July and now August, anywhere from 75 to 90%. So saw no need as our central air died and the humidity in the house is up as well. I have played with the humidity setting in the past, but have set my machine to run on Auto in the summer as it’s generally very humid then. In winter, we’ll that’s a different situation so run the humidity higher then.
I talked to a sleep specialist at our local hospital and she agreed that the problem is most likely my chin dropping. The Knightsbridge strap should be here in a day or two and then I will know for sure. I was diagnosed as a mouth breather during my first study so a chin strap has always been part of my equipment.
And no, I don’t smoke anything before bedtime.
Thanks.
Does your CPAP have a humidifier?
Have you talked to your sleep doctor about this?
Have you asked the manufacturer?
Do you smoke anything right before bedtime?
Extreme dry mouth

Recently I’ve been waking up in the night with extremely dry mouth. I’m not sure why. I also have mouth bubbles forming in my mouth and it seems to me that I am not mouth breathing but that the air flow inside my mouth from the machine is drying out my mouth. Anyone have this problem or any thoughts on how to resolve it? Thank you!
Hey Jackie, take a look at my post right above this one. I'm going to try the Knightsbridge chinstrap. It has very good testimonials. I'll post back to this thread after I try it out. Viraj
So how did it work for you?
