Hi all,I'm currently using the ComfortLite 2 wy/ nasal pillows for about 2-3 weeks now and have had some pretty good nites then wham the pillows and/or mask seem to not work at their best for a nite or two then they do.My sleep time seems to be split between back and side postions.I've been thru several masks over a period about two and a half months and this one seems to be the most tolerable so far.Any suggestions to the nite to nite changes would be graetly appreciated.I would like to add a sincere thanks to this board and all who reside here.
Changes in proper mask funtion

Not to get too personal about your nightly hygiene but are you washing your face each nite to remove the skin oils? Are you washing your cushion or pillows w/a baby shampoo each morning?
I was surprised to find that Medicare will pay for 2 cushions every 30 days or 3 pairs of nasal pillows every 30 days - not the mask or headgear just the cushions/pillows themselves.
I'm wondering if someone recognized that these cushion/pillow materials don't stand up to the wear as much as we think or have been advised. On the other hand they will also pay for one new hose a month and I have NO idea why anyone would need a new hose every month even if one didn't rinse it out each day.
I know I've run into a mask working well for a week or so and then start causing problems. And currently I've had two nights in a row where I could NOT get a good and lasting seal no how right from the get go, managed some fitful sleep on and off waking up due to leaks and then all of a sudden I get a good seal and sleep fine w/no leak problems for the next 2-3 hours, waking up w/still a good seal. Go figure that one out!!
I agree w/you, tho. I've done so much better w/the ComfortLite 2. Mostly w/the nasal cushion but also w/the nasal pillows.
We must have started PAP treatment about the same time. My first night was 09 Oct 06. We used the Breeze and the F&P HC 407 (Flex-Fit) during my titration studies, started w/the Swift from the DME and then switched to this CL2 w/which I've had the best results.

snorenomore cl2 not working now
I too have run into a series of nights where my mask is not working very well. It seems when I roll over or adjust positions that either side of my mask seems to shut down the air passing through. This gets your attention quickly. I have adjusted the sideways bar to move the pillows to a more pinched position. It seems to elongate the pillows and so far has proven successful.
