This question is not specific to me or my therapy, I didn't even have the vauto at the time of posting. Relax, breath, keep your pants on

It is not better to start 17 different threads because you think a passing thought needs a separate one.
I'd say we should all just ignore all the random thought threads from people like this, but you and I both know that kind of coordination will never happen here.
Tell me again why I wasted my time composing the "newbies please read before posting" topic that no one ever seems to read because I cover this clearly in that topic.. Right up front and center.

You know that sleepyHead tutorial that needs to be redone. I am fast coming to the point of just removing it and not replacing it with anything. No one ever reads it anyway.
And then they argue about it.

Don't give up hope, I'll bet some people read it, and get benefit from it, they're the quiet ones that don't shotgun post every tandomexcuse for a thought they have, and then ask questions that prove they never learned to read, or *gasp* search.

Stay strong, your work and effort is appreciated, by the quiet people.

Sorry, Pugsy! I'll keep to my thread
That's okay....it's just easier for us to follow people and get a general feel about them when even random questions out of the blue that don't seem to mean much...are kept in one spot. At least while at the beginning of therapy and we have all sorts of random thoughts that don't seem to fall into one category. It really helps me help people when I can see where their head has already been and what they have already been told and get a general feel for where they are going. I don't want to take to the time and go back through a dozen other threads to see if what I was going to tell you has already been said by someone else or heck...even by me and I forgot I said it.

I would rather have one thread with a gazillion questions of all sorts than a gazillion threads.
Now there are times we end up with a special problem or special situation that needs a more targeted thread so that we don't have to wade through a gazillion random thoughts and questions to target our help and when that happens I will often suggest a separate thread.
So sometimes I do want a separate thread but in general for random off the wall thoughts and questions....it's less work for me and the others if we keep things to one thread.

It's not a set in stone rule but it does help us help you all easier and faster and that's why I suggest it. I won't go killing people for not doing it...and I still try to answer the questions but it makes my work so much easier when past discussions are right there in front of me to review. I like less work over more work kind of thing.

Now if you ever start a targeted therapy thread....where you post images of detailed reports and want follow up...I will insist on those staying in one thread. Nothing annoys me more than someone coming with a thread...here's night number one results what do you think....and the next day there's another new thread with "here's night number 2 what do you thing" thread...and the next day there is another one with "here's night number 3"....I have seen as many as 7 in a row like that from one person ...7 new threads and they want me to compare all 7 nights....Geez...that's a lot of work and I simply won't do it.

Now I can combine threads if someone wants me to...but sometimes that really screws up the flow...but I can do it but I won't normally do it unless requested or it ends up being critical to the help needed.
Back when I saw the 7 different night threads...I didn't have moderator powers to combine things...now I do and I would just combine them and tell the person privately to use the one big thread.

I could combine your threads with random questions if you wish but it isn't a critical need IMHO at this point.
But it is a lot of work to combine them...so while having multiple threads might be slightly annoying at times....it's still less annoying than the work involved I would have to do to combine them.

So now you know why we like to keep things consolidated....for me it's because I am lazy and I simply don't want to take the time to go search a person's prior threads to see what they might have already been told about something or other to get the feel as to where their head is at in terms of general knowledge

Well, you know, sometimes it takes a little longer to be reasonably sure about what is,and isn't, a waste of time, being a smart ass towards those that have previously tried to help is one sure sign, though. Lol

The helpful part was very much eclipsed by your rudeness. If ignoring me will mean none of your snarky comments in my threads, then yey! You really should have done it earlier as suggested.

I'm still waking up after just half hour on cpap, so likely won't get any useful graphs in a while (other than 30min long forests of FLs ). I'll post in my 'newbie' thread if needed, but I think I know what to do for now. Thank you for your help again!
