TiMin on Vauto
TiMin on Vauto
Trying to understand these settings
Any circumstances when a person with normal lung function might want to increase or decrease Ti Min on Vauto machine?
Thanks!

Re: TiMin on Vauto
For most people, there is no reason to mess with either the ti min or max settings.

Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.

I realize this, I'm not planning to change it without a good reason.Okie bipap wrote: ↑Wed Jul 08, 2020 8:23 pmFor most people, there is no reason to mess with either the ti min or max settings.
I found some examples of why a person might want to increase the Ti Max, like if your breaths are getting cut off uncomfortably. I'm trying to understand if there's any reason to change ti min, and what to look out for in oscar or elsewhere

i can't think of any reason, maybe if for say 95% of the night you are breathing well above the set ti min, and you want to make sure you are taking longer/deeper inhalations for whatever reason.

No?
Then you have no good reason.

Re: TiMin on Vauto
You are continuing to obsess over every detail of therapy... either you want to use it or you don't, but stop finding new things to bother about!
We are all 'volunteers' here, no one pays us to help, but every day you have more and more questions that won't get you started on consistent and useful treatment.
Make up your mind - do you want to do this, or not?

Re: TiMin on Vauto
and every little problem has to have yet another thread.
yeah, i know, i'm being "mean". but how hard is it to start a therapy thread and stick to it?

Re: TiMin on Vauto
This isn't specific to my therapy. Just trying to understand how this machine works and when to adjust the settings. It also might be helpful for people with similar question to have it separate.

Re: TiMin on Vauto
It is not better to start 17 different threads because you think a passing thought needs a separate one. We may see connections you don't and/or just want to see your history regardless. You are making our (and your) life harder so please consolidate your questions into one place. We don't have the energy to click on so many previous ones to make sense of things and see context where you may not.
Re: TiMin on Vauto
I'd say we should all just ignore all the random thought threads from people like this, but you and I both know that kind of coordination will never happen here.

Re: TiMin on Vauto
Tell me again why I wasted my time composing the "newbies please read before posting" topic that no one ever seems to read because I cover this clearly in that topic.. Right up front and center.

You know that sleepyHead tutorial that needs to be redone. I am fast coming to the point of just removing it and not replacing it with anything. No one ever reads it anyway.

Re: TiMin on Vauto
from the sticky thread:
Even if you just have a lot of different questions specific to you and there will probably be many of them...keep all your various question in one thread for a while
This question is not specific to me or my therapy, I didn't even have the vauto at the time of posting. Relax, breath, keep your pants on
