26 y/o female w/ suspected UARS. OSCAR data help
I am a 26 y/o female who's been struggling w/ poor sleep since i was young. I always awake unrefreshed and also suffer from migraines. I had a take home sleep study given to me by an ENT that said "no apnea" although he does suspect that I have UARS. I am on a waitlist for turbinate reduction but until then I want to try dealing in my CPAP settings. I would appreciate some of the experts here helping me dial in the settings on my phillips respironics dream station w/ nasal mask. I have attached some screenshots from my OSCAR data from my longest night of wearing it so far. We started w/ 6 min and EPR of 3 just to get going but now i need some help on where to go from here. I would like to try to get my settings as good as I can w/ the APAP and will consider getting a BIPAP later on if anyone here thinks its necessary
Thanks again if anyone can help, much appreciated

let's see a 2 minute flow rate chart of the OA and CA....
Re: 26 y/o female w/ suspected UARS. OSCAR data help
Why? The majority of her events are hypopneas.
sab204: did they give you an estimate of when you would have that surgery?

to see if they are... legit, and to keep your eye out if they happen to get worse. If not they most likely are awaken/arousals

Tip - get rid of the calendar - not needed.

Hello, sab204. Given that you're showing mild apnea WITH treatment, I question the assertion that you don't have apnea! It'll be easier for the experts to advise you if they can see more of the information in the left panel. So could you turn off the calendar (little triangle to the left of today's date) and the pie chart (File ..Preferences..Appearance, untick the box), and then repost the chart?

awakening and or arousals.....which central apnea casues, is what you have and my charts also have that, however, keep your eyes on them. Your pattern on your breathing is erratic. I'm sure others can show CA's of the norm.
the screenshot I just sent, is close, for my normal breathing, as I can get, unfortunately, I don't have an example of a CA event during normal breathing, as I only have Obstructive Apnea.

Since your AHI is where it is, in time you can make them drop....... comfort is a big part of it. Wouldn't touch your pressures.
Bedding: pillow, temp of your body while in bed, drop the covers add the covers, wherever you are comfortable, it's something you have to figure out.
Sleep positioning. On your back can drive up your numbers... side sleeping is optimal, however, in time eventually your therapy will peak and then you can sleep anyway you want. Diet... don't eat nothing heavy before bed. Get in the mood, relax read a book or whatever makes you drowsy. Humidification with your CAPA, maybe not now but in the winter months. Maybe try a dark room...up to you. Meds play a factor, if side sleeping is optimal for ya, I use a tennis ball in a tshirt pocket on backwards. That aughta get you started.
These hints are folks with Apnea.... at this point.. it appears you do ,but I would keep tabs with your Dr, most of all.... do that ! UARS is something your Dr will address and follow through. Keep up with him or her. Seriously.

I will give you this advice.
I probably would not be asking for/expecting decent advice from someone with an AHI of 14.7 and a join date of May 23 2020.
They might be more than a little

It was an example.... don't stir the pot unless you really know for sure what you are saying.... saying less might be better for you. What's the date on the OSCAR chart for the 14.7 AHI?

Re: 26 y/o female w/ suspected UARS. OSCAR data help
He knows what he's saying... you've been asked politely before to please not post (yet) especially to other newbies, why can't you just do that?
Re: 26 y/o female w/ suspected UARS. OSCAR data help
And who are you?? Obviously you don't know who I am? Do you? Are you people that rude? I gave her basic things to do. And you really want to break my chops? LOL WOW ! I encouraged he to stay in tune with her Dr.
Re: 26 y/o female w/ suspected UARS. OSCAR data help
always open to hearing more opinions. What do you think i should do w/ regards to settings at this point?
