AirSense 10 question

Post by Tino2You » Wed May 20, 2020 11:50 am

Hi all,
It's been a while. Hope everyone is doing well.

I've been struggling with my equipment. My old A9? had a square reservior and I could clean it quite easily. My new A10 has a chamber that has lots of nooks and crannies and try as I might, it crude up. I even put it in the dishwasher. Any ideas?

Thank
tino

Fill the reservoir with 50/50 vinegar and water.

What you can do to ensure you get all the nooks and crannies is:
  • On Humidifier, with the lid and gasket still on, but open, fill with vinegar and water to the top, just above the Max Line.
  • Close the lid
  • Continue filling with water through the blower lines, do this very slowly and rotate it to allow the water to displace the air.
  • Using this method, you can get your vinegar solution well above the tank seal.
  • Let sit for 30-60 minutes
  • Use a toothbrush to scrub the corners.

Maybe a DENTURE toothbrush . . .
I just use paper towels and undiluted (cheap) vodka.
The alcohol kills most of the guilty flora and fauna.

Don't use the dishwasher for the standard equipment humidifier tub....there have been several people that have reported leaks. Use the "Dishwasher Safe" tum offered as an option. Are you using distilled water all the time?

Let's see. I have used vinegar and wateras mentioned. I used an old (but never used) artist flat brush. I have used scrungie sponge. I used paper towels. There is always a bit of gunk in the corners. Seems to be a design flaw. My A9 never had this problem.

I am on my 3rd water tank after 12 months. I had 3 (ever) when I had my A9 for over 8 years.

oh well....

Thanks guys
tino

What kind of gunk?
That doesn't sound right. I wash mine once a week with hot water and dishwashing liquid. No gunk in 6 months so far.
What kind of water are you using?
