Found my optimal sleeping position (Oscar charts)

Post by redlegs » Tue May 12, 2020 6:39 am

Over the past week or more been trying different products to try and help my snoring and overall AHI. At first, it seemed like the Dr. Dakota anti-snoring neck pillow/collar was doing the trick but now not so much. I've mainly been a back sleeper most of my life & so I've been forcing myself to do my best to sleep on my side. I'll post charts from the last two nights.

Ok so on the 10th I started off using the Dr. Dakota anti-snoring neck pillow and simplus mask on my side but ended up to my back shortly after my sleep. The collar must have started to choke me which it never really had done before so I took that off and switched back to my side the rest of the night.

Also, I am still going to meet with my sleep Dr. later this week and request a bipap and do my best to avoid a sleep study just for a more comfortable night overall since I am at 16-20 cm h2o and can get uncomfortable.

The 11th started out no neck pillows or collars and on my side which seems I was able to stay on most of the time. Though I did near the end take it off because of the leak and it drying out my mouth in my sleep. Overall I feel like this is where I'll go with going forward no more collars or anything just hard to find with my big neck and the simplus. Though I am going to be testing out the airfit f30 once it's delivered sometime this week!

I tried the Amara View again and finally seemed to get it adjusted right no leaking at all. Bumped minimum to 16.5 & no more snoring!

Congratulations on reducing snoring! Is this with side sleeping?

I went to bed on my side not sure how much of the night was spent that way but I woke up on my back. Saw my sleep Dr yesterday and got a script for Aircurve 10 Vauto so here's hoping that helps with the residual hypopneas and such.
