While trying to understand why my AHI varies day-to-day, i started looking in more detail at the flow rate graph.
It looks to me that for a similar flow rate pattern an event is sometimes flagged and sometimes not. See the 2 detail pics below
Am I not interpreting the graphs correct, is my machine not flagging properly? (Resperonincs Dreamstation GO)
Obstructive flagged
No flag
(I have a ResMed AirSense coming my way, since travel is not really happening for the foreseeable future)
Event(s) not flagged?

Re: Event(s) not flagged?
They are only considered apneas if they are 10 seconds or more in duration.
The second graph did not last 10 seconds.
The second graph did not last 10 seconds.

Re: Event(s) not flagged?
AHI varies from day to day because *sleep* itself varies from day to day, and indeed, hour to hour.
There are a very large number of variables that go into the complex organism on the end of the hose. What you had for dinner, when you ate dinner, what the temperature is, how dry the air is, how comfortable the mattress is, whether you've got aches and pains, and far, far more.
That's why this, and indeed, medicine, isn't an exact science.
Get OSCAR
Accounts to put on the foe list: dataq1, clownbell, gearchange, lynninnj, mper!?, DreamDiver, Geer1, almostadoctor, sleepgeek, ajack, stom, mogy, D.H., They often post misleading, timewasting stuff.

Yeah; my bad, mis-eyed the 10, it was only 9...Dog Slobber wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 7:57 amThey are only considered apneas if they are 10 seconds or more in duration.

Seems most of my differences in Hypo-s are the difference between 8-9 seconds vs 10-14 seconds.... (25 H per night or only ~5 H per night + some 15 orso of 8 or 9 seconds, wonder if that also messed up my sleep study outcome)
Do understand Palerider's comment on the number of variables going into it; i'm trying to figure out which ones the dominant ones are for me (keeping the notes in OSCAR).

Re: Event(s) not flagged?
this is a good plan. it didn't take me long to understand how what i had for dinner had an impact on my ahi.
