Exhale too strong

Post by Johnb69 » Sun Apr 26, 2020 2:23 pm

Hello all, I have a ResMed 9 VPAP. My mask is a ResMed mirage guattro full face. I have been having great difficulties exhaling against the machine. The exhale breath is too long on the machine and way too strong.

Any advice

Hi John, and welcome!

A good place to start for this forum is the newbie link in my signature. There are probably a few things it would be helpful for other forum members to know before they can offer reasonable and sensible suggestions on how you can change your own settings.

welcome to the zoo! i know nothing of vpap. but i've been here long enough to guess that the folks who DO will probably want to know what your settings are so they can better advise.

good luck!

There are features that lessen the exhalation pressure... so do read up on the other info.

I'm bumping this to the top because it looks like you didn't get an answer on how to access the settings. I don't know your machine, so I'll leave it to people who do, but this will help it get seen.

John,

It would help to know your machine and mask. For now, if you can just locate that information from the back of your machine or from the boxes they came from, we can tell you where to look for your settings for your machine.

If you're looking for your settings for this forum, find the little pulldown menu with your handle Johnb69 and pull down to "User Control Panel". From there you can put your machine type and mask in your profile information so more people can know how to help.

Chris
