That's a great model. You can see how many run hours are on the machine by looking in the Settings. See pages 14 - 16 of the clinical manual - https://www.respshop.com/manuals/ResMed ... %20her.pdf

I'm not finding that - not finding "run hours", not under Settings anyway. Under Sleep Report there is a listing of usage hours, but it looks like just the time I've experimented with it and not the total hours used before I ever owned it.

Not going well and once again being forced to re-evaluate the causes.

The F30 is not very tolerable. I also pulled out an old Swift FX to try. Didn't think I liked it before (I think I was using the wrong size cushion before), but it is better than the F30 and maybe even on par with the N30.

But the masks, issues aside, are still not the primary problem - not being able to breathe after 15 minutes is!

Yesterday prior to a nap, I used Afrin nasal spray to see if opening up my nose would make all the difference. It did not! It basically eliminated the congestion issue for the most part, but after about 15 minutes, just as I was getting a little relaxed, I felt like I could not breathe, could not inhale This is the same as I have been experiencing, but I assumed it was due to the nasal congestion not allowing air in, which probably WAS part of the problem. But the Afrin eliminated that. So now I have re-ordered my list of problems. Years ago I thought the order of contributory problems was (1) exhalation pressure (EP); (2) bloating; (3) nasal congestion. Recently I decided it was (1) nasal congestion; (2) exhalation pressure (EP); (3) bloating. NOW I've concluded that it is (1) bloating; (2) nasal congestion (a close second or even tied for number 1); (3) exhalation pressure (EP) last!

So after about 15 minutes, my abdomen is filled up with air to the point that my diaphragm can't expand to let any into my lungs and my chest muscles hurt. So NOW what do I do??? (And I cannot use Afrin every night either. I'm already suffering from rebound congestion from just one time of using it, which I knew I would. It will take several days at least to return to nasal congestion baseline.)

Take your finger tips and place them up on the sides of the nasal bridge area where if you wear eye glasses the little pad thingies would rest or just a little below.
Place gentle pressure on that area with your finger tips for about a minute or two.
Do you experience nasal congestion? If so, how long after you remove your fingertips before the congestion clears?

What are all your settings that you are currently trying to use?

Yes, if I use my finger on ONE side of my nose bridge and aggressively pull away from my nose, I can often breathe better out of that side (but not if I'm too congested, which I am now as a result of rebound congestion from Afrin). I can't do it on both sides because it is inadequate to help EITHER side then. At any rate, once I let go, the side goes back to congestion. (And just in case you are going there, Breathe Right strips don't work for me at all. They don't increase the space deeper in my nose where I need it and I don't tolerate the adhesive very well. Maybe that isn't where you are going - just thought I'd tell you.)

I keep tweaking the settings but I never have the max more than 7 and I vary the minimum between 5 and 6 give or take. I have the EPR on and set to 3, although last night I actually tried turning it off and making the settings be essentially in CPAP mode, not APAP. I only tried that for a few minutes - I didn't like it.

I wanted pressure on the nose and not pulling out of the nose.
What I was trying to judge was if pressure on your nose in that area made congestion worse or not.

Have you ever used something like simply saline and/or OTC Flonase/Nasocort for the congestion?

What humidity setting are you using?

Oh! Sorry, I didn't understand that. Pressing on the nose doesn't really change anything.

I use nose rinses all the time (well, periodically frequently - if I use it too frequently it is counter-productive) and I use Nasacort every night.

Humidity is set to 7.
