Results discussion and interpretation
I have looked and I apologize if I have missed it, but is there a place on the forum for us to post results and get some assistance interpreting from software like SleepyHead?

Re: Results discussion and interpretation
Hoping this works as expected. I tried to follow the instructions well.

As you can see, my AHI is low. However, I do have some large leaks during which time the machine might not have recorded events. I still felt like crap when I woke up this morning. Any thoughts as to why based off of this screenshot?
Thank you.

The mask you are using is known for leaking. Because it covers so much area, it is prone to leaks. Have you tried a Full Face mask?

Yes, getting leaks under control is going to be the first step you need to take. Is there a reason you chose the mask that you did?
While the large leaks can interfere with event interpretation they can also cause sleep arousals, even though you don't remember, and you will not feel like you slept well.

Re: Results discussion and interpretation
I have tried a full face mask. I have actually tried a lot of them. I can never get the leaks under control. This one is the best I have had as far as leaks and it is still bad. I just ordered a nasal with a chinstrap to see if that helps at all. My other current mask is a Mirage Quatro. I cannot ever get that thing not to leak. I have replaced my cushions and everything. I wash my face before I go to bed. I am tired of anything that has to get a seal like the full face masks. It has to be easier to maintain a seal over two nostrils.

If you want to try one of you FF mask again you might add a PadaCheek liner especially if mask movement seems to be a problem.hillbilly1979 wrote:I have tried a full face mask. You are correct that nasal pillows are easier to seal because of the smaller area. Do you have problems breathing through your nose during the day?
Try to remember to only breathe through your nose during the day with the tip of your tongue placed behind your top front teeth. A cervical collar at night has helped some to prevent mouth breathing if the chin strap doesn't work, also some users tape.
Finding the correct mask is a journey. https://www.cpap.com/ has free return insurance on some masks so check them out.

Re: Results discussion and interpretation
I actually use CPAP.com for most of my gear. I just ordered the Swift FX and the Ruby chinstrap last night. My new mask should be in by next Tuesday. I am excited to try it out. I also looked at the liners you mentioned. I think I am going to get some to have on hand in case the Swift FX doesn't work out. CPAP.com does offer the free return insurance, and I am planning on using it if I have to. Thanks for all the advice.

Re: Results discussion and interpretation
I have for free a L Quatro full face mask, full set up like then send in bag. Got it 6/19 when started. Just automatically sent with new by-pap machine. I didn't like it because: I get up frequently to use the bathroom and wanted magnetic snap kind; I also felt to clean it, it was like dismantling a fire arm (many pieces and would be time consuming). I wanted a simpler one, so got the F20. (now am using F30i). I have it in box will send it thru UPS store locally, if someone wants it. All you need to do is get acknowledgment from me it's still available, and that you will set it up for UPS to accept it mailed to you (will need that contact info for UPS when I go in to ship it to you). I have no need of it, want it to find a new home. Dean Olson, deanolson44@gmail.com.
