Well, I've got a mess here. My computer crashed and am trying to reinstall Encore Pro but it refers to a "user name and password for server". Huh? I know little about computers so would appreciate any help. Does the Mako smart card reader program need to be uninstalled before Encore is reinstalled and then also reinstalled ? Has anyone ever posted a list of instructions to reinstall as was done for the initial install ?

Recommend that you read through some of the other topics by using the search feature. Take a look at this one "Smart Card Reader problems: Installing"
Sounds like the general consensus is that one would need to uninstall the smart card reader software before installing the Pro software. Make sure that the card reader is not plugged into the computer first. Install the encore software, then the card reader software. I believe someone said to reboot the computer before plugging in the reader.

I installed it in that order recently and it worked the first time.
