OMG I had the wrong Dreamstation in my profile. That explains a lot! When I first signed up, there were so many different "dreamstations" I wasnt quite sure which one to select. Mine is Dreamstation BiPap S/T. It has ST, S & CPAP mode. I've tried all of those in varying pressures and feel no better. If anything, I feel worse. My doctor asked me if I have any fatigue, I told him that's ALL I have. Oscar can't read my data. I'm just screwed. Some people say try an ASV, some say dont. IDK what to do. I told my doctor I feel like I'm dying. He said you're not dying. Well I'm not living and I'm not opposed to dying.

Who told you no on the ASV?

Go here and read forum member tsduke's post

Click on "search user's posts" then go back to the oldest which is page 9 I think and start reading.

He started with the ST as well. I am hearing nothing from you that I didn't hear from him.

I read pretty much every thread and reply made by him and yea... You're right. The ASV is what I need.

I told my doctor that last week and he made me second guess myself but he was so mad at me for adjusting my pressures myself that he couldnt think straight. He even said he wasnt sure if I could be his patient anymore, because changing my settings is changing my prescription and its a compliance issue. I told him I was just trying to be proactive in my treatment. Anyway, we settled on a 2-week test where I dont change anything. I go in next week and I'm going to ask for the ASV again. If he won't prescribe it, I'll just buy one with cash. I can't live like this anymore.

Your doctor is a class-A jerk and ignorant to boot. He can fire you as a patient if he wants to, but he is just flat incorrect to say you are doing anything wrong. What really makes the steam come out of my ears is that he is doing such a terrible job of helping you -- yet HE gets mad at YOU??

Can you go to another sleep doctor (if that's what this person is)? Or even ask your primary care physician to write a prescription for the right machine so you can get some help from insurance on the cost?

I am just so very sorry you have to wait any longer before you get on the right track to proper treatment.

I can go to another sleep doctor but it's a huge inconvenience. I'm just giving him this last chance before I pursue that route.
