Are All Resemd 10 CPAP's Bricked?

Post by Translog » Wed Jan 22, 2020 5:29 am

Purchased a refurbished Resmed 10 CPAP ( 100 hours on it ) for a friend and used SleepyHead to get some initial data to find out that the AHI and respiratory pressures are NOT available. States that the machine is Bricked. Can it be unbricked?

As well-tried to subscribe the unit to Resmed's MyAir.com and it seems like the old Sleep outfit and user had already subscribed the unit and never deleted the account and cannot re-subscribe.

Can this subscription be deleted by resetting the unit's data internally?

Thank you in advance.

Airsense 10 CPAP: bricked fixed pressure
Airsense 10 Elite: full data fixed pressure
Airsense 10 Autoset: full data auto adjusting pressure

You need either an Elite, or Autoset/Autoset for her to get data.

Thank you for the explanation.

My friend is already doing well with Events per hour of 0.1 on the front dial of the Resmed, so for the moment we will keep it there and read up on the forum for more info if need be. So although the detailed data would have been great for the moment he seems in pretty good shape. Thanks again for the info on bricking.

It is not "bricked", it *is* a 'brick', as in, provides no useful data.

All "CPAP" models of the Resmed Airsense 10 line (which comprises four different models) are bricks, the other three models (Elite, AutoSet, and AutoSet For her) all provide full data.

The easiest way to identify which model you have is the small text at the lower right front corner.
Below and to the right of the round knob---
The first line will be, "Airsense 10"
Below it will be the truth--mine says, "AUTOSET FOR HER".
The permanent brick will only say, "CPAP".
