What happens to retired CPAP Machines?

Post by pippyn » Wed Dec 13, 2006 10:17 am

Given the need for a prescription from a doc to buy one, I'm guessing there's not much of a resale market for machines? My partner started with a F&P and I'd like to upgrade her to a REMStar so we can share Encore Pro and both analyze our data to improve sleep experience. (I'm getting the Mseries Auto very soon!)

So, what do I do with the old machine? Toss it in the trash? Find special nasal mask for our bull masiff (hoping to cure the snores)? Thoughts?

Craig's List is a possibility. I'd expect that there's a market for folks that have been diagnosed but have high deductables (or for folks who don't have any insurance at all. ) that are willing to pay a few hundred $$ for a machine. It'll be helpful if you can tell the buyer how to set the pressure, which you may be able to find out here...

Here ya go, San Antonio!
