Just got back from my appointment with the sleep doc. My AHI has dropped from 79.9 to 13! I am so excited. I know, we want to get lower but since I have only been on this for a little over a month AND the machine I have been using for the last 2 weeks was a loaner without a card so they weren't able to have those readings, I feel pretty good about all of this. I know that in the last 2 weeks that it has gotten better because I don't take the mask off anymore, I don't have any major leaks and I don't breathe through my mouth. I go back in 2 months and hopefully the 13 will drop even more.
My only complaint was my nose stuffiness and after the saline not working well, the doctor gave me a script for a nasal spray that won't mess with my heart problems.
I really wanted to say thank you to all of you that have helped me because I know for a fact that I wouldn't have been able to stick with this if I had not had this board to help. My sleep doc was very impressed when I told him about you. He is also a pulmnologist, specializing in asthma and copd, and the next time that I go in, I am supposed to take a couple of pages with me for him to see. His response to all the help that you guys have given was, "Dang, they're gonna put me out of the sleep study business!"
So, thank you for all the help! Oh yeah, for the person that posted the pics of their cozy hose hanging from the ceiling, the doc loved it and said it was GREAT and that he was going to recommend it to the other people who complained about the "tentacle".
YIPEEEEE!

I am hoping that Bellcrest won't mind me posting this link for you since I found it here on the boards. It's a wonderful setup.
