Hello!
New to cpaptalk.com.
I've used a BIPAP for about 2 years. I don't feel like I sleep well. Generally I wake up and feel like I've been breathing through a straw.
I prefer to go to sleep on my back. When I sleep on my back the AHI range is 4-6 where on my side is 2-4.
The CA's are always at least 50% of the AHI.
Mask is an AirFit 20. I could not find this on the profile list.
Thank you in advance for any insight and/or suggestions on changes.
Sincerely,
Bill

For one thing, you could use a little more minimum pressure. I suggest at least 8 cm instead of the 7 you are currently using. As for the CAs, you can try cutting the pressure support back to 1, or even do without pressure support.

Re: Newbie request for review of graphs
Your pressures are too locked down. I would personally raise the min EPAP to 8, and then allow the IPAP to go up to 25 if need be. Your IPAP is above 10 a lot of the night and at times it looks like it wants to go above 12.

Look in the equipment menu for the AirFit F20 in the "A" section at the top...it's there.
Are you waking often during the night?
Any chance you might have been awake when those centrals got flagged around 6:30 ish?
You might want to watch the videos here especially the last one to help with distinguishing between real asleep events vs arousal/awake flagged events.

@raisedfist @okie - Thank you! I gulp air on higher pressures. I will increase the pressure over a few days.
@pugsy - Thank you Yes, usually wake 2-3 times per night. Watched the video, I think about half of the CA's are "junk".
Does a ps = 0 effectively make it a cpap instead of bipap?

Re: Newbie request for review of graphs
Yes, PS of 0 effectively makes it a single pressure which can of course vary if someone is in auto adjusting mode.
You need a difference between inhale (IPAP) and exhale (EPAP) to qualify for bilevel...2 separate distinct pressures.
With PS of 0 inhale equals exhale so no difference hence....fixed single pressure.
Bilevel means 2 distinct pressures.
BiPap has sort of become a generic term for bilevel but it actually is a trademark marketing term from Phillips Respironics.
Other brands just call it what it is...bilevel or have their own marketing term like ResMed using VPAP on the S9 models or AirCurve 10 on the latest models.
