I have been using the same machine for 6 years and the same Eson 2 nasal mask (change cushions every 2 weeks) for a few years. Recently my AHI & Large Leaks have gone up a lot. I just noticed this problem this week, although it seems to have started 2 months ago. I am assuming this means that I have started mouth breathing. Does that make sense? Over the last 6 months I have lost about 25 pounds. Could that be related? 2 Days ago, I started taping my mouth closed which seems to have fixed the problem. I have used a nasal mask for years. Do I have to switch to a full face mask? I am mystified by this change. Taping my mouth closed does not seem to be a long term solution.

Switching to a FF mask is the easiest and quickest solution if you are unhappy with taping. (The closest mask to your Eson would be the F&P Simplus). Meanwhile you can work on keeping your mouth closed. Also work on keeping your tongue pressed against your upper front teeth.
