Dreamstation Bipap AutoSV PLOTS DISABLED

I have been away for a while, it is good to be back.
I now have a new machine Dreamstation Bipap AutoSV.
Oscar is not able to download any data from my sd card anymore.
For 4 days there was no problem, then suddenly zeros all over the place and 'Plots Disabled' appearing where the graphs once were displayed.

I have been reading many of the posts with regards to Oscar issues but am unable to find a solution. i wonder if the solution is there and I cannot see it?
It seems odd that when I first used it all the graphs appeared and there seemed to be no problem but it only lasted for a few days, then nothing.

Any suggestions of things I could try to get Oscar to read my data would be gratefully received, but i am not very technically minded.
I am wondering if the sleepyhead programme which I was using for years without problems, with my old machine, and is on the same computer, somehow corrupted Oscar and is preventing it from working. Could my SD card have developed a fault?

With my new Dreamstation I am waking up with headache and also now waking up during the night, which I never used to do with my old PR bipap auto SV advanced and neither did I get the headaches.
It would be great to be able to see what is going on at night that is causing me to wake at around the same time every night.

Make sure that optistart us turned of as this has caused issues in the past, there is also a version of OSCAR in testing that may work better with your machine but it's not generally available yet

I turned optistart off, but unfortunately all Plots are still disabled.

Is there anything else I could try, please?

Maybe get a new SD card. Make sure it's unlocked in the CPAP and locked when you read it.

Try creating a new profile and using the new profile.

Things i have tried so far:

I have created an new profile and just tried using that.

However it has made no difference, Plots are still all disabled.

I shall create a 4th Profile and try again, just in case to see if it makes any difference now that optistart is off.

The other thing that i have tried is, I have unplugged the Bipap and left it unplugged for a while. Re plugging it in has made no difference.

I have uninstalled Oscar and reinstalled it. This also has made no difference.

Is it worth buying a new sd card? I have never done that before.

I am using the new card that came with the new machine.

If I buy a new SD card do i need to format it?

any tips on what SD card i should buy?

Any generic cheap SD card will work. 2 GB size is sufficient but hard to find them that small anymore. I use a Sandisk 8 GB card bought at WalMart. Stay away from the high dollar specialty cards...waste of money.
No need to do a special format...just insert it in the machine and it will take care of making the SD card like you want it.

But I doubt the card is the problem.

When you uninstalled OSCAR did you also go into the MyDocuments area and manually remove the folder containing all the OSCAR files/folders? That folder needs to also be removed and it is untouched when we uninstall OSCAR or SleepyHead for that matter.
If that folder (containing the broken information) isn't removed OSCAR just imports right back to that folder.

You might also try a purge of all data using OSCAR's purge feature and try importing again but I don't hold much hope for that either.

In spite of the strong support for SleepyHead and OSCAR, there is another workable choice, Encore Pro.
If you have a Windows machine (if not its not an alternative), go to the Apnea Board web page for download instructions.
BTW, I use both.

No I did not go into the files and delete them when I uninstalled Oscar.

It makes sense and I should have thought of it.

I will try that to see if that makes a difference.

The good thing is since I have disabled optistart the figures and numbers have returned in the box in the left hand corner of the screen, but no graphs.

Re encore Pro, I installed it on my current 64 bit windows computer a few years back but I never managed to get it to work which was rather frustrating.

But I will have another go if all else fails. Thank you

If you do decide to give Encore Pro another try on the Windows computer....uninstall what you have and go get the latest version from the apneaboard. You will probably need the latest version anyway with the DreamStation you have now.
If you run into troubles with the install and use...send me a PM. I still have a working version on my computer and know a few little hints to make it easier.
Like don't mess up 3 times in a row with the sign in process...3 strikes and you are out and you get to reinstall everything.
If you mess up 2 times in a row...close the program and then open it up again. Don't risk that 3rd strike.
Also you have to change the time zone to match your time zone or the reports are going to look really weird.
Also the password automatically expires in 90 days so if you don't change the expiration time frame you end up getting the 3 strikes your out thing happen. I have simple instructions to fix the time zone and password expiration issues.
