How can I fix a pressure issue from home?

Post by CyclonePap » Sun Nov 03, 2019 3:48 pm

I ordered a new cpap but it wont be here for 5 to 7 days. My current machine is driving me nuts. I have correct pressure when I start the night but 3 to 4 hours I wake up bc its lost pressure and cannot breathe properly. I've changed the power supply, filters, masks and tubing. It's been sent in once before for the same issue and all they did was "clear an error code" according to the sheet of paper I got back. Is there a way to access what they did and see if I could clear some sort of error? Note that there is no error that appears on my screen

It's a Philips Respironics C Flex Plus.

Thanks for any help.

Is the pressure that is showing on the display the prescribed pressure when this happens?

If not, then it might be possible to fix it with an adjustment that you can do yourself.

If it's showing what the pressure ought to be, but not delivering it, there's an error of some sort.

There's really no way for the patient user to do anything in terms of clearing errors or making adjustments to pressure output beyond testing the output with a manometer and if it is off then making a manual correct to the pressure so that it is putting out what the machine is supposed to be putting out.

As in checking the pressure with a manometer and if it's supposed to be putting out 10 cm (example) and it's only putting out 7 cm...then try increasing the setting to see if you can get it to the point of it putting out 10 cm. May or may not work.
