Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset, Airsense 10 For Her, or Aircurve 10 Vauto

Which one of these is the cheaper one and where could I find one either new with a warranty or slightly used with a warranty? Thank you. I appreciate your help. Don't want to get another "brick"
The Vauto is considerably more expensive new. Used in good condition through a private sale, they cost $100-200 more. Used with a warranty, probably $200-300 more.

The Autoset and For Her are nominally the same price. On any given day from any given dealer, either one could be cheaper.

If you want a warranty, the three dealer sites I check for new or used are sistemmacpap (with coupon EXTRA3%), secondwind, and our host, cpap.com (which often has promo coupons in the 15% off range, and has frequent sales). I caught a good sale at cpap, stacked a coupon on top of that, and bought a new For Her for not much more than a used one at secondwind, but that varies day by day.

I paid for one new machine with a warranty, and three used machines from sellers here (for use by two people x two locations) without. I saved enough to gladly risk the lack of warranty.

If only Resmed were as easy and inexpensive to use off-grid as Philips-Respironics,
then my Airsense 10 Autoset For Her would be darn near perfect.
I bought my backup Devillbiss Intellipap Auto specifically for off-grid use,
because it cost just a tad more than a just a Resmed battery pack.
But back to the OP's request--granted, medical stuff is expensive,
Your choices are largely controlled by finances, as are many of ours.
Sometimes getting the best treatment takes a while,
but some treatment is better than none.
I suffered with a non-auto for 9 months--auto is the only way I will go now,
Even if it means a used machine.
All the best to you.

I'm, it is as cheap and easy.

PhilRep wants a special power supply for the DS, which, last time I looked was around 25 bucks.

3rd party 12v converters for the air10 Resmeds are around...25 dollars.

I will have to look for that.
Then I can find a home for the Intellipap.
Make room for my cricket collection.

What's the difference between the elite and other one?

Slimline hose is a non heated hose.

Climateline Air is a heated hose. The heated hose costs more than a non heated hose.

Elite....fixed pressure machine....one mode of operation only

AutoSet....2 modes of operation...fixed and auto adjusting....it costs more than the Elite

The Elite is a fixed-pressure CPAP machine. The Autoset is an automatic machine that can respond to changes in your breathing.

So this is the one you were talking about? Can I always buy tubing that isn't slimline or is slimline the way to go for this machine?

569 doesn't seem bad for a new one...

The tubing may need to be replaced periodically anyway, depending on how rough you are with it. It isn't very expensive if you shop around. The ClimateLineAir tubing is needed if you want to run high humidity in a cool room, to prevent condensation. Otherwise, you can use whichever you prefer, and change it at any time. Both are 15mm tubing. While the machine can also support regular 22mm tubing, I see no reason to do so - the 15mm is lighter and more flexible, and works fine.

I have an Autoset with 61 hours on it which I can sell you for $400 shipped if you are interested. Comes with bag, humidifier, cord and a used hose.

Just PM me for pics.

Okay... you dont have to use the humidifier for this model, right? Theres a way to bypass it/take it off? My first machine didn't have the humidifier so I got use to not using one. One more thing, I assume its fairly easy to set the pressure to the prescribed setting?

Thanks for all yours and everyone's responses. Yall have been incredibly helpful.

You do not need to use the humidifier. You can just disable it. For travel, you can get a thingie (tech term) to block it off. I doubt if it saves any weight, but it makes it an inch shorter. You don’t need it though - just turn it off.

Without the humidifier, you will probably want the $5 plastic hose elbow to put on the back of the machine.

And yes, it is easy to operate.

You don't *have* to use the humidifier with any cpap, just turn it off, and don't put water in it.
