Will the APAP machine set to 5 to 15 eventually reduce those? I thought I had OA but I only had 1 episode of that

Could you post your Oscar chart? The resident experts could then see what is happening and recommend a course of action. You haven't given enough information for anyone to even guess at a solution.

OSCAR/SleepyHead and the Clear Airway apnea events...central apneas from a ResMed machine and CA from a Respironics machine.
The first SleepyHead was designed for a Respironics machine and so CA was used....no matter which brand.

See this page and watch all the videos

You may or may not be having real asleep central apneas. Having a few here and there is actually normal and no big deal.
Seems like newbies tend to have more non real asleep centrals though because of the initial poor sleep that comes with starting therapy.

So how many central/CAs are you seeing being reported?

1) OSCAR is just reporting what the device is flagging.

2) A lot of CAs are false positives, erratic breathing, happen while awake or during sleep onset. When you see a lot at the beginning or end of a sleep session they are likely not *real*

3) Did you have a lot of CAs during your sleep study?

4) Some people ( myself included) start experiencing some CAs when new to CPAP. I didn't have any flagged in my sleep study but a few showed up when I started CPAP. Gradually they slowed down, now the occasional one.

5) How many CAs are we talking about?

6) Posting graphs will help a lot.
