I recently purchased the upgrade for the Resmed S7 Elite to the AutoSet. When installing the software on my computer, installation stopped and a screen popped up saying that the flow generator on the S7 Elite was already an autoset.
Does anyone know how to access the S7's clinical menu and change from CPAP MODE to Autoset mode?
I have accessed the clinical menu but have not been able to change the MODE from CPAP to AUTOSET.

If it is an AutoSet already it will be silk-screened on the top bezel of the machine as such. The upgrade "kit" should have included a new bezel. The machine can come both ways from the factory.
If it is already a AutoSet, all you have to do is enter the Clinical menu and switch the mode to "AutoSet" from CPAP. Set a Minimum pressure (suggest no lower than 6cm), set the Max to 1 or 2cm higher than your last titration pressure or at your cpap pressure. You only need to go higher if you suspect your pressure needs have changed (you gained weight etc.). But before going higher on the Max. side you need to consult your last PSG to be sure you are not at risk for CA or MA events, those should be shown on your PSG if you are.

As best as I know, the upgrade is not doable by other than a certified Resmed dealer. Where did this upgrade come from ?
As Snoredog says, they are supposed to provide a new front panel with the word Autoset Spirit on it to replace the one with Elite on it.
AFAIK the upgrade replaces software in an EPROM - I am not 100% sure but am guessing this can be done by a serial cable connected between the cpap and a PC. The PC can communicate with the cpcp and upgrade the software. I imagine this is a pretty tricky process as it can result in the machine being rendered useless.
