waking up with headaches near back of head/neck

Post by chdurie2 » Mon Dec 11, 2006 12:39 am

For several months, i've been waking up with headaches in the back of my head near my neck. my doc gave me muscular pain relieves but they didn't help. then for unrelated reasons. i changed my sleep mask from umff and f&p 431 to comfort 2 full. i may not think this is the ideal mask, but the morning headaches are gone. i think the straps on the other two masks were pulling in a place where it was irritating my neck, if that makes sense.

just thought that ,might help others suffering from the same pain. it is a joy not to have to reach for the aspirin in the morning.

You might try flipping the UMFF headgear upside down so the label is upside down, it can sometimes prevent the headgear from riding down so far.

Have you contacted Padacheek? I bet she could make a pad that would help! I found that with the hybrid mask, if I use PACs, the straps don't have to be as tight.
