Yeah that machine can and does make strange noises if the humidifier top seal doesn't seat right. Just fiddle with it. You will love that machine. I'm picking up my second next week...Good Luck.

Hi, I'm a new CPAP user (just ~40 days), and I have experienced a few episodes of chugging/pulsing (both a chugging sound and a pulsing feel) that was bad enough that I removed the device for the night when it happened. Those bad episodes were a couple of weeks ago. I had my AirSense 10 auto card-to-cloud with HumidAir settings at: 5-20cmH20, auto climate control, EPR full-time, EPR level 3, Humidifier on at level 4, Response soft, Mask pillows. I confirmed a correct hose setting (it's a ClimateLineAir), water chamber level and humidifier seating. Following those very bad chugging/pulsing episodes, I've more recently experienced some quieter chugging/pulsing, which I've ignored --continuing to use the device. But over the past week the device seems to be less effective, and the therapy efficacy rating has decreased to an AHI weekly average of 4.08, with the latest rating at AHI of 6. The overall average AHI is 3.69. So, I have these questions for ragtopcircus and any others with similar experience:
1) Have your experiences with chugging/pulsing been resolved, and if so how did they resolve? (I noticed Ragtopcircus was using an AirSense 10 Auto when posting about the chugging/pulsing problem, but now uses a different device. So, was changing to a AirCurve BiLevel the eventual solution for ragtopcircus??)
2) I'm wondering if I'm getting optimal results with my device and settings, and I would like more guidance on interpreting my OSCAR data. Access to my current sleep doctor is very limited (maxxed out with new patients). I'd be willing to hire someone to tutor me on this, but don't know where to turn for help. Any suggestions?
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
