Help: AHI-6.07 - What is wrong?

Post by ww » Tue Sep 17, 2019 7:44 pm

My AHI is very high and not helped with pressures up to 17.

The clear airway apneas are almost as high as the obstructive apneas and the hypopneas are over 4/hour. The events are primarily between 6 and 8 am.

Two years ago, AHI was around 1.0. I need to get a handle on why I cannot achiever the previously low AHI numbers.

I tried to schedule a new sleep test (primarily due to the open airway apneas), but the sleep doctor- nurse called and wanted to leave a machine with me at home overnight. I figured that was what they did to evaluate if you had sleep apnea, which I know I have and guessed their test would be a waste of time. They never called back after that.

Hate to ask, but have you gained even a few lbs lately? It's amazing how little can make a difference.

Min 14, max 20.

See how much that improves things.

Increase your Min pressure to 14 and Max pressure to 20...You can see on your charts that the machine wants to go higher than your 17, but it can't. It doesn't look like you are using EPR..Turn it on and set it to 2.

:D Thanks Julia, I'm sure you are right, but not enough to have to adjust the suspension seat on my tractor.

The consensus seems to be 14/20 so I set it up to that and things seem to be better.

LSAT: I also set the epr=2.

I will run it at these settings for a few weeks and let you know how these settings are doing.

Thanks to everyone who replied to this post!!!! This was my first post in many years.
