Quick question on morning sleep report

Post by Viraj3474 » Fri Sep 06, 2019 4:48 am

I am a newbie of one month. Been getting good usage reports each morning except for today. I woke at my usual time, but didn’t actually get up as I was thinking. I realized I had run the mask fit the night before, but I hadn’t let it run its complete cycle. I thought for a while about that and decided I should do that. So BEFORE shutting off my ResMed for Her and getting my sleep report, I decided to run the mask fit all the way through its cycle and see what the mask fit reading was. I received a green face for a good fit. It was at that point that I sat up and turned the machine off to get the sleep report. When I saw the night’s usage and it showed only 45 minutes. What happened!?

I have no idea what your sleep schedule is. Could the noon hour have passed while the mask fit was running? The machine resets the reports to the next day at noon.

No Chicago, the noon hour had not passed. I went to bed at 11:00 pm and awoke at 5:30 am. I didn’t get up, but stayed in bed thinking. I didn’t hit stop on the machine and get my sleep report, but ran “fit face mask” in the machine’s menu options and let it run through its full cycle. A few minutes later I did hit the “stop” switch on the machine and my sleep report came up telling me I had only slept some 45 mins which wasn’t accurate. This is no big deal. I know I slept more. It just brings down my averages which I don’t particularly like. I just want to find out what caused this so I can avoid repeating the incident.

Is the clock on your machine set to the correct time?

Yes, the time is just a few minutes different than my clocks here. I have an idea that running ResMed’s “Mask Fit” BEFORE stopping the night’s sleep is what caused the problem. I’m hoping someone on the forum can verify that.

May be a good guess. Even if you had stopped the machine before the Mask Fit, it might have recorded a new day when you started the Mask Fit. Don't know. Life is complicated. #FirstWorldProblems
