New Mouth Leaks

Has anybody every gone from not having mouth leaks to having them after losing weight?

I haven't personally experienced this yet (though I think I will soon, shedding weight right now ) but I have read on here that yes, when the size and shape of your face changes, you'll get leaks. It should just be a matter of readjusting your straps, I don't think a smaller mask size would be necessary.

I'm not having leaks (I use nasal pillows so my face shape isn't terribly relevant). My mouth is popping open where it didn't before.

Yes, sort of. I have been taping my mouth for years and after losing weight the last two years it seems more dribble is getting to the tape causing it to disconnect and a small leak on the lips waking me up. I have yet to find a good solution for this.

i modified it slightly, but it works a treat for me.

Thanks! I had tried this, but very sensitive to the flow of air over my lips. I really need to get to zero leak to sleep well.

I solved the problem of drool loosening the tape after I learned about poligrip strips on this site. For me, it seems to act as a dam to protect the tape.

I cut one strip lengthwise, and then cut one of those in half. Using both hands, I form a flat curve to fit my lips. Moisten and apply to bottom lip. Finally, relax your mouth and close. If you have a Julia Roberts mouth, you may have to use both halves. I still have to tape, but I rarely have it loosen.
