I can think of few things I'd enjoy more than having someone as up on all things CPAP as you, -SWS, sleeping on my couch.
But first, you have to marry my sister. I'm sorry, but those are the rules. And I'm pretty sure her current husband will not take kindly to your trying.

OK, five people now have expressed interest, and I'll be e-mailing them each back individually.
But since some of the things I've got (like the masks) may not be wanted by the person who wants the machine, I might as well post the entire list of what I have to get rid of.
Most of it has seen moderate use (about 3 months worth of an average of 6 hours a night for the machine, less for the masks as I switched off between them).
I've generally tried to keep everything clean, but I leave it to you as to whether you're at all interested in buying used masks, even lightly used.
Here's what I've got:
Remstar Auto with CFlex w/ a few misc extra filters, connectors, etc.
Mirage Swift Mask with 3 sets of nasal pillows
Aeiomed Aura mask w/ 2 sets of pillows.
ResMed Ultra Mirage Full Face Mask
Two heated humidifier bases & two water tanks for the machine.
Two Hoses (one completely unused)
Two carrying cases
Respironics Encore Pro data software
I thought I had an extra smart card as well, but I can't seem to find it.
I bought the machine, one of the humidifiers, one of the hoses and the software for something under (but approaching) $1000 (out of pocket, insurance wasn't covering it). I'd like to get something similar back for that setup. We can talk about the masks.
Crazy Liam's Used Cpaps. C'mon down and kick the, er, filters.

I know one size does not fit all. Insomnia and depression are twin black holes. And I do not have all the details of your "CPAP trial" or the details of your SDB. What I posted was from concern about stopping treatment for your SDB.
What I read was about the discomfort of the treatment-the mask, being unable to sleep, exchanging the machine after 3 days, hating it and frustration. I didn't see anything about central events increasing, AHI not responding, problems with hypopnea. That was what concerned me and I regret if I expessed my concern poorly.
Hoping you can find a treatment that is tolerable and effective.

Sorry, I'm kinda new hear so I may have a dumb question. But first I want to wish you well, Liam. You are probably around my son's age, and if he were in your shoes, i would be trying my best to get him, to continue the treatment. Now could someone help me out with CSDB/CompSAS. What is that?
As for me Liam... I have had a comparably very easy time adjusting to CPAP, I attribute that to being prepared for the worst, having had the opportunity to read many of the posts here. The other reason was because I had developed numerous health problems.... some of them directly related to OSA, and some probably indirectly. So, pretty much my life depended upon it. I' m sure you experiece was different from what I've read about you here so far, but.....
Right now you are very busy, what with that special baby of yours and an early morning job..etc. . So, maybe now is not the the ideal time for you to continue your efforts with CPAP. Why don't you put it aside for awhile and stay in touch with everyone here. Then set a goal and get prepared to restart at another time. You, know we all want what is best for you. Good luck.

Hmmmm. They seem to have dropped in price somewhat. When I got the setup I got, it was significantly discounted (someone was selling it with about 10 hours on it at that point, for which I got at least 15-20% off of the CPAP.com price).
So it looks like perhaps I'm hoping for too much.
If anyone's still interested, make an offer. Otherwise I suppose I can always keep it as a paperweight.
Liam, whose papers do tend to fly around the room a bit...

And to krousseau, howdidthemovieend and others, I really do appreciate your concern. It's nice to know there are people still willing to band together in support of a common ailment.
Liam, breathing easier... or not.

There you go, Liam!!! Keep it as a paperweight! Perhaps someday you will become so sick and tired of being sick and tired that you will want to give it another go.....could happen.
Tricia: Who likes the idea of Liam keeping the old cpap on hand.... just in case.

Frankly, I agree with the "hang onto the old CPAP".
Life changes.
You might run into someone who can "try it out" and it might get them inspired to get treated.
Just as a demo to others that have sleep apnea to cut the fear and get them in to get checked out.
Did I mention "life changes"?
I am hanging onto my old CPAP even though a dental device is working NOW. I figure I would get a pittance for the machine, and nothing for the masks if I sell it all, and replacing it would take much time and cost a fortune.

Ah Liam,
You don't want visitors? Say, there's a way to make the money! You could hang onto the cpap (use as a loaner or when there are guests), and charge folks to sleep on your sofa for the privilege of experiencing the Liam humor first hand. Kind of a Liam Sleepover. You've heard of Dance with the Stars? How about Sleep with the Funny Guy? A kind of Liam B&B (more of a C&B for couch). Oh, the possibilities!

Not sure my wife would go for this one.
We'll see just how popular my book is, once I finally get it listed on Amazon. Then we'll find out if this business opportunity would make any money.
