Make your own CPAP pillow

The only trick to this is that not everyone knows that the best way to cut foam and memory foam is with an electric carving knife.
Use the knife for the big cut, and if you want the edges beveled ( I didn't) use a pair of scissors.
I bought a pair of memory foam neck support pillows on sale at Joanne's fabric store, though you can find them many places, for around $20. and then modified them as per the picture at the cpap pillow site. (I used one from TAS).
I cut a half circle about 4.5 inches in diameter and maybe 3 inches deep in one side of the pillow, centered between the fatter ridges, and another slightly wider circle out of the bottom. I left the other two sides uncut in case
I want the pillow for a different kind of support, but you can cut all four sides.
Electric carving knives go through foam like cutting butter.
If you want to modify the zippered case, you'll have to do some sewing, but I don't see why the modified pillow can't fit in a regular pillow case.
This way I spend $10 a pillow instead of $50.

I bought my Papillow cheaply from someone who didn't like it. Before that I had found a similar shaped pillow for $6 at Big Lots(actually a backrest pillow to watch TV comfortably)Used this for months and it worked great. Looked at it along side my Papillow yesterday and there is very little difference in shape of pillows.
