Mouth keeps falling out of full face mask

Post by adawg » Sat Jun 08, 2019 12:29 pm

I’ve been having really bad air leaks and no matter how many times I try adjusting the straps, the air leak does not go away. My other issue is that I keep waking up with half my mouth out of my full face mask. Like my mouth fell out of the mask or something. Now whenever I wake up my mouth is extremely dry. Anyone have any tips on how to stop this?

welcome to the zoo! you might try a foam cervicall collar, which you can find at your local drugstore or grocery store. it's in the section where they keep things like crutches and such. this will help keep your jaw up and help to alleviate the problem.

i use this plus some scunci hairbands, found in hair accessories. got this notion from fellow forum member, jay aitchsee-

the combination of the two work like a charm for me.

others will be along with more advice.

oh! when you find the time, please fill out your equipment profile, so it shows up in each of your posts, as it does in mine.

good luck!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Cpap.com has very many masks to look at, with pix, reviews, and for a small fee allows you to try (and return) them for a few weeks without having to buy outright. No reason you should continue on with one that doesn't fit.

I have experienced this result with every full face mask I have ever tried.
Maybe it "goes with the territory", or the masks do not fit--my face--and many others.
Luckily, I have had success with nasal pillows, and never had to deal with this misery again.
