I have Resmed Aircurve 10 Vauto, Anyone can help me to set it to APAP.

I have Resmed Aircurve 10 Vauto and I just found out that this machine is a Bipap machine.

I just buy this online and to lower the costing I will be the one who will set it up.

My doctor recommends me to use APAP machine with the Settings of Min-12 Max-18.

Anyone can help me on this since I can't return the machine or exchange it to APAP machine.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum.

To make the VAuto function like a regular apap machine you just need to set PS (pressure support) to 0.
So these settings would mimic an apap
Mode...Auto
Minimum EPAP 12
PS 0
Maximum IPAP 18

Do you have the clinical manual for this machine? If not you can request it here.

If you find these setting rather tough to exhale against you can change PS to something like 3 and make it a lot more comfortable.
It's the only way to get exhale relief when using bilevel pressures in auto mode with this machine.

Definitely keep the VAuto, it's a great machine.

If you want to do what the doctor says (I don't recommend it) then you'd set the machine thusly:

Mode: VAuto
MinEPAP: 12
MaxIPAP 18
PS 0

Leave all other settings to their defaults.

You'd probably do better with

Mode: VAuto
MinEPAP 9
MaxIPAP 25
PS 3

That would be a more comfortable setting.

Was it second hand? It would also be a good idea to do a default reset on the machine. This will take it back to out of the box settings. Then input your pressures
