Need a new mask ASAP

Post by ziuaploia » Wed May 15, 2019 10:52 am

Hey Everyone!

So when I got my CPAP machine for the first time, I went with the Airfit F30 as my mask choice as I liked the idea of not having anything covering my mouth and nose to start in case I felt claustrophobic. I found it comfortable, easy to use, and super quiet which was wonderful. The problem started, however, with the fact that I couldn't really get a good seal under my nose. Air was always shooting up and leaking into my eyes and I found myself adjusting it all night long.

Then, recently, I have been finding that the top strap refuses to stay atop my head! No matter what I do, it will slide from the top of my head down to my forehead causing massive leaks. I purchased a hose buddy thinking that maybe having the hose above me instead of tugging downwards would help, but no luck.

So, long story short, I'm in the market for a new full face mask ASAP!

I wanted to know what you would suggest as a good alternative that would have less leakage issues and hopefully a sturdier head strap. I was looking at the F20, but the design of the headgear seems to be the same which doesn't help.

Thank you so much!

Take a look at the Philips Amara View. It's worked pretty well for me so far. I'm a side/back sleeper and reposition a few times for comfort and so far haven't had it leak yet. Few days into wearing this thing and like it quite a bit so far.

Nasal Pillows caused a lot of irritations with my ASV machine at high pressure settings, which also increased the # of bloody noses I was already experiencing. I did try the Quattro FF Mask but unfortunately hated the bar that interfered with my field of vision.

on to my 4th mask, and I have to say I love this one the best.
