I have a resmed S9 that has worked wonderfully for me. My pressure script is 11.
I bought a new Z2 last month for travel and backup - last night was my first night with it - and it was not good. I feel like I am sucking air though a straw. In fact my breathing - actually sucks in and then expands out the mask. I got up at 2am and changed the settings from CPAP to APAP and pressure range from 11.5 to 13 hoping it might help, I also set the zbreath to max 3. Maybe a little better... but still like I am working to breath
I tried taking out the humidifier attachment and the Qtube. Neither seemed to help much.
Also the noise from the mask is wheezy.
Whats going on ? I keep thinking maybe I am too big a guy to use a small travel unit. This is supposed to be a great unit.

First of all, if you don't use the ramp on the old machine, make sure it's turned off on this one. Likewise for "expiratory relief."

Ok will do that - I believe the expiratory relief (zbreathe) is from 1-3 no "zero" I will set it to 1

That improve it quiet a bit - not great, but good enough for a night or two away, or a night without power at home.
However still no where near the comfort and flow of my home S9 unit.
Wondering if the Resmed AirMini would work better.

But think of all the space and weight you are saving. There's always trade offs. Jim
