Looking for advice.

Trying nasal pillows for the first time,

Any tips...

The place that sold them to me suggested I may have to lower my pressure. I'm at 10-14 pressure
But told me The Dr. Should be the one to tell me for sure..???
I was thinking that all that air concentrated into my nose may be uncomfortable

Some people find they can get by with less pressure when using nasal pillows. As for changing your pressure, many of us here on the forum have done so. I have changed mine several times trying to find what I consider the optimum pressure range for me.

I think you will find the pillows more comfortable. I used a FFM for the first 2 days on CPAP but couldn't get comfortable with it and the leaks. I have found that my pressure was ok to be lowered by 2. The stream doesn't bother me much at all.

Conversely my partner felt he could not get enough air when I tried to fit him with pillows. Now he can flop around and adjust leaks all night with his f20!

You're local! The waterfront is wonderful to be near during sunset. I lived in the City from for about 20 years and moved back to NJ when I couldn't stand no space for the exorbitant rent. I work in Brooklyn (until Friday) so still am in the City daily.

I have no problems with dry sinuses unless I turn down the humidity below about middle. Too much is just as bad as it makes me stuffy and I wind up waking up with sinus pressure. I would start off on auto and see how you feel in the morning.

Since you are close to me if you want to try other masks I have I can give you one. I have a p10, a bravida, a dreamwear with cushion, and an extra frame for dreamwear as well.

I use the P10 with 12cm minimum 15cm max with no problem.
Good to go from first night.

hey, that's MY pillow! i'm currently blowing 14.2 min to 20 max with no problem. i'll give you a wee tip for nothing, though. try using lanolin on the pillows. this helps them feel softer against your nose. and it adds just a little bit of tackiness which can help with the seal.

check in the infant section of your grocery or drug store. there you can find the brand name Lansinoh. this is used by mothers who are nursing. it's said to help them guard against sore nipples.

i've been using it for years. you just need a very small drop on each pillow.

try it, you might like it.

but that's enough about them.

You can copy the SD card to file on your computer if you want. This is what I did with our data. I have put flash air cards in both of our machines which enables me to write the data to a file daily. Then, once a month I move the data to a composite file which has all of my history in it. The reason I do it this way, if the file that Sleepyhead reads from gets too large, it takes longer to download.

My aircurve has a setting you can change between ffm, nasal and pillows. I think it adjusts for you. I thought all machines have this feature but I may be wrong ?
