Why does my machine shut off at night ???

Why does my machine shut off at night ???

I just got the new Res Med machine with the heated hose and they set it up for me ,but it is shutting off like 1 or 2 times a night ??
I wake up with No air movement , i shake the mask and it comes back on , Any idea of why or what is the cause , i have the mask good and tight ..

Your machine has a "smart start" feature where the machine will start automatically when you put on your mask and start breathing...it also shuts off automatically when you take off the mask and stop breathing. During the night, if you have large leaks, the machine may think you took off your mask and it will shut off. If this is bothersome, go into the settings menu and turn off the "smart start" if it is set to on.

"Good and tight" is not a good idea... the silicone needs to inflate to do its job and too tight can actually create micro-leaks. It's supposed to 'hover', not bind.
