Post by J3D » Sun Feb 24, 2019 3:55 pm

Hello< I am a newbie and just posted about myslef and coniditon with some questions in another post.

Separately I want to ask: Where can I get the most current Sleepyhead software, recommended for use?.

I have the ResMed AirSense 10 machine.

Welcome to the forum.

Can you tell us EXACTLY the model name that you see on the front of your AirSense 10 machine?
If it is the AirSense 10 CPAP that you have chosen in the equipment profile then SleepyHead won't work with it because it only offers summary information and is missing some data files that SleepyHead needs to even show the summary data accurately.

If you have either the Elite or Autoset...now those models will work with SleepyHead and you can find it here.

It is the Resmed Airsense 10 AUTOSET.

Didnt know there was varying versions of this. Apologies.

I see in the clinical menu settings the CPAP and APAP (autoset) settings.

Mine was set to CPAP and set to pressure 12

Put the right one in your profile: wiki/index.php/CPAP_models

Palerider:

the closest is the "for her" version which mine does not state "for her".

I changed profile of from the humidifier version to the Autoset 'for her' version

Look down in the "R's" in the equipment menu and you will find your AirSense 10 AutoSet...it just has ResMed in front of it where the others just have AirSense.
Whoever added it to the equipment menu didn't think things through very well.

So to get data I need to run it on APAP? (Autoset).

I cleared all data 3 days ago. There was like 10 hrs of data before my first night of use. Which my 1st night was a disaster with wrong mask and dry throat.

I got correct fitting mask now, and Last 2 nights I have averaged 5 hrs of use. Still sever dry throat that wakes me up.

My plan tonight was to use same settings as past 2 nights:
A. use the prescribed level 12 CPAP setting
B> with Level 8 humidity
C. with 82 degree hose temp
ADD tonight
D. A vaporizer running in my room to increase humidity level.
-ALL to see if I can alleviate dry throat.

The pressure is o.k. comfort wise, I dont feel claustrophobic. OH !! I changed the ERP to 3 before last night because the exhale is the part that make my moderate pressure uncomfortable intially... Seems my body is used to it and I 'ramp up' too which helps.

Can I get the extensive data while on the CPAP setting?? OR does it have to be on APAP (autoset) setting?

No, the closest one is the exact one, as listed in the table I linked.

To get better treatment, you need to run it on autoset.

I'd suggest min 10, max 20, and see what happens.

Pugsy helped me out Palerider to list correct one - it is nestled away under the "R" section instead of with the several other listing starting in the A's

I believe that if you'd looked at the chart that I linked, you'd have seen that :)

If you actually looked at the chart, and were confused, what would make it more clear?

I dont know if your truly elicting feedback or being, um... sly ? But I will answer as I like to err on the side of being helpful and positive thoughts.

Honestly, If ALL Airsense units are Resmed, then list all under ResMed... Or the other way around listing all like untis from same mfg under Airsense, so it automatically draws your attention to select from that category. Being all in the same spot is helpful IMO.

When I clicked on your link, I merely thought it was a list source of models existing. I had know idea it was a direct correlation to a list I was selecting for profile entry, until just now with your last post.
I didn't take time to analyze or understand the associated information in the link, I just looked for models names that existed.
My bad, I didn't pay attention to detail, I am not sure many joe's or suzy q's would have automatically understood it either. Maybe I am just plain dumb.

I have nothing to do with the listing on the forum profile equipment page. If I did, it wouldn't be the hodgepodge that it is. I agree completely that it's dumb to have most of the stuff under "airsense' and one thing under 'resmed'. Feel free to send a note to carolyngoodman complaining about that :D

I made the chart, with the column of what to put in the equipment list, since it's a bit of a mess.

I was asking for how I could update the link, the chart of machines, so that it would make more sense to someone new to this.
