What have you got to lose by trying? You already have pillows that are not right.

Yes, I've done that. You need some precision cutters, but if you get it right it works fine. I'm sure that the URL that was given above will talk about the tools that you need. If that one doesn't, there are other postings about how to do this that you can find via searching.

Best to have spares--just in case.
Some have a feathered edge (tapered), so the new edge could be stiffer.
