last trial to conquer fragmented sleep failed! could you advise?

Post by koy » Sat Feb 02, 2019 2:52 pm

briefly i have been trying an apap for 30 days, the bilvel vauto, still waking up fully alert at night like i cant go to deep sleep because of SDB.

here is my last night screen :

based on the dr Krakow's analysis, i'm thinking maybe i also have UARS, because of my throat inflammation, this is how it looks like almost(image from google):

also i woke up at 7am, stayed awake till 9:45am then slept from 9:45 till 11am, and i noticed this maybe the explanation what is happening: before i dose off, almost dreaming, so i'm between awake and asleep still but i am dreaming already, for less then a second, i hear my throat "noise" it is not snoring but noise, and i feel i'm trying to inhale as if i am trying to breath from a straw, it was hard and in that split second i wake up, and my throat opens and i am breathing normal. so i know it happens in that time frame, i tried to zoom in looking for it in the graphs, but i can't tell exactely where i woke up in this hour and 15 mn, so i'm highlighting these maybe you can see something i am not. i can only see that in the inhale curve, there is some jagginess, or little flatness before the curve goes up, maybe that is that ?

Also took some random zooms in the normal night sleep where i saw some abnormalities :

Now what should i do ? do i need lower more constant pressure as CPAP ? do i need higher pressure to combat that narrow airway? also it always seem to wake me in REM, it might be happening more often but i remember the wake ups when i am dreaming always.
I'm sure i'm not getting enough deep sleep as i also wake up almost fully awake each time i wake up through the night.

In my sleep study my sleep efficiency was 60%
in 5.35 hrs of sleep i had : 122 arousals , 69 associated with apnea/hypopnea and 35 RERAS and delayed onset REM. total AHI: 17/hr and RDI was 23/hr.

my advice is to stop creating new posts every time you turn around.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

How about I combine all your threads into one thread/topic since you apparently feel the need to keep repeating yourself over and over again???

Multiple posts containing essentially the same content is frowned upon and could get some of them deleted as duplicate post spam.
You are fast approaching that designation.

What you should do is READ THIS: viewtopic/t172378/Sticky--Newbies-PLEAS ... a622752def

Then follow item 2, and quit shotgunning crap all over the place.

You're complaining about fragmented sleep, but your chart shows three sessions, the first one being over 8 hours. That is considered a normal night's sleep. You then tried to sleep for three more hours. I guarantee you, if I tried to sleep that many hours, it would be very fragmented. I normally sleep 6 to 7 hours sleep. You slept almost almost as I would in two nights. If you are sleeping this many hours every night, you obviously have more problems than can be fixed here.
